All Christians live their lives in the public space. We encounter the good and bad, the hopeful and despairing.
Bringing together expertise from Church Mission Society (CMS) and religion and society think tank Theos, and our wider networks, this course explores what it means to be a Christian in the public space and how we can witness in that space as individuals, churches and Christian communities.
It will focus on Christian responses to power, different approaches to politics, commitment to justice and practical ways we can build relationships, work for change and witness to Jesus.
Whether you are a Christian working in the public sector, a pioneer, involved in social justice work, or leading a church, this course will lead you into ways of thinking and acting for Christian witness and justice in society.
The course is a three-day residential in London, topped and tailed by three online sessions which set the scene and allow further reflection.
There will be workshops and seminars led by CMS and Theos, visits to churches, organisations and individuals engaged as Christians in public life, and special guest speakers.
- Registration closes 11 June 2024.
- Spaces are limited so book now.
- This is an accredited Common Awards module at level 7 and can count towards a postgraduate qualification at CMS or any Common Awards accredited body.
