New Housing Conversation Day: 18 May

new housing development seen from the air
One month to go! 10am for 10.30am – 4pm CMS Oxford, Thursday 18 May 2023

Ali BoultonHost Ali Boulton writes:

Are you missionally engaging in new housing? Do you have new housing being built near you? Are you wondering about the Christian response? Are you enabling others to missionally engage in new housing?

  • Whether you are new to missional new housing engagement or an old timer!
  • Whether you are a practitioner or enabling others to engage
  • Whether you are paid or unpaid
  • Whether you are a recognised leader or simply following God’s call to reach out to neighbours or new housing residents…

…We’d love to invite you to be part of a creative conversation!

The day will have a ‘soft’ start at 10am with registration and refreshments, with a ‘formal’ start at 10.30am – we aim to finish at 4pm.

As well as spending some time all together, we will be facilitating different streams during the day for existing new housing practitioners and enablers and for those exploring and new to this area.

For those already engaging in new housing we will offer creative opportunities to share, support and encourage one another and theologically reflect together on live aspects of your current experience (this will build on the time 30+ of us spent together at Swanwick in March 2022).

For those exploring, just starting engaging in, or simply wondering about, a Christian response to new housing – whether as a practitioner or enabler – there will be some training and resources to get started and hopefully inspire you and the people you work with.

There will be opportunities for networking and making friends with others engaging in this area over lunch – which will be provided.

There will also be an opportunity to find out about the CMS Durham University Certificate in Theology and Mission specialising in new housing engagement starting in September 2023.

You can book for the Conversation Day via Eventbrite – we have kept the price down, just covering basic costs, so that it is as accessible as possible.

Hopefully see you there!
