Map-tastic!

screenshot of Google map of Pioneer network

We are now ready to unveil two new maps which will help members of the Starfish Network feel more connected and better able to access on-going mutual support and encouragement.

For those of you who don’t know, the Starfish Network consists of all those pioneers who have completed at least one module of training on the CMS Pioneer Mission Leadership Training. This includes any post-graduate, undergraduate or pioneer hub courses.

This is not an alumni because you’re a member of Starfish when you start training with us and not when you finish. Also, we’re not after your money! We’re aiming to create on-going learning pioneer communities to continue to offer friendship, helpful resources and equipping for your pioneer practice even when you’ve finished a specific course and been given your award.

We now have a number of regional groups and specialist pioneering groups which we hope will enable us to do this better as the network continues to grow. You can find a map with the contact details for each group in the Starfish section of the CMS pioneer website.

In addition to this map, we have added a new map to the Starfish section of Moodle so that, if you are a member, you can now see where all your fellow pioneers are in the country. We hope that this will enable you to find one another, get a little information about what everyone is doing and make contact with one another by email. However, this does require you logging in, finding your pin and updating the details we currently have! It would be great if you could do this asap and if you have any problems with this then do drop me a line.

You can also find info on pioneering and connect with members of Starfish in the Facebook group, Pioneer Hub at CMS.

If you have any further ideas about how we can better facilitate this network, then please don’t hesitate to get in touch with either me, andrea.campanale@churchmissionsociety.org, or one of the Starfish team: Sue Martyr, James Roach, Christine Ramshaw, Neil Wild, Lou Smith or Jane Gray (contact details are…on the map).
