Dr Cathy Ross, the MA course leader for CMS Pioneer Mission Leadership Training, was installed as canon theologian at Leicester cathedral at a special service on Sunday afternoon, 16 September.
Cathy was one of seven new honorary canons welcomed by the bishop of Leicester, Martyn Snow (pictured above with Cathy) and the dean, David Monteith. Cathy preached at the service and we will be publishing an extract from her sermon on the blog soon.
Meanwhile, here’s a video Leicester diocese made to get to know Cathy:
In addition to leading the MA course, Cathy is tutor in Contextual Theology at Ripon College Cuddesdon and lecturer in mission at Regent’s Park College, Oxford.
Her research interests are in the areas of contextual theologies, World Christianity, feminist theologies and hospitality.
