Module Description – TMM1211 Foundations for Theology & Reflective Practice
The module is an introduction to contextual theology, principles and methods of reflection, and their place in mission and practice.
It is designed to help you develop and reflect on pioneering in your context and especially the relationship between practice and theology.
It includes a few different components –
- An introduction to theological reflection with some tools and methods to use
- An exploration of reading context and culture – both at the local level through community audit and mapping, and at the wider level of culture – interacting with film, music, art and culture making.
- An introduction to theology that is local, contextual, and practical (these are actually kinds of theology).
- Study skills and styles of learning.
You can engage with the module in one of two ways. Either for credit as part of a university level qualification or simply attend the class as a participant.
