Over the past four years we’ve been developing a Hub of Pioneers around the South as part of our work with Dioceses and Methodist Circuits from around the area.
On Tuesday 10 March we’ll be hosting the latest of our Pioneer Hub Days at CMS in Oxford. You can come for all or part of the day. If you want to come along, please book in via our EventBrite page.
The day is free, they’ll be lots of time to hang out and meet others and there is a cafe at CMS to get food and coffee.
The programme for the day will have a few elements.
Prayer SpaceIn our main hall they’ll be a prayer space available to use throughout the day (except when seminars are taking place). It’ll be an interactive space designed to help you meet with God and get some breathing space in amongst all the busy things you’re involved in.SeminarsWe’ll host two small group seminars. In the morning (11.30-12.30) we’ll have a seminar on New Developments in Pioneer Ministry which will include thoughts from Penny Stradling on Lay Licensing for Pioneers, an update from Fresh Expressions and a chat about how New Monastics are developing links with those from older Monastic traditions. In the afternoon we’ll be thinking about “Mindfulness, Prayer and the Seeking Generation” (2.00-3.00) and considering what implications new attitudes to prayer and meditation might have for Pioneers.One-to-One’sThey’ll be appointments available to chat one-to-one about your own pioneering setting and to get some advice. These are booking up fast so visit the eventbrite page to book in or email andy.freeman@cms-uk.org
We’d love to see you on the 10th. Do come along if you can.
